Bluetooth® and Bluetooth® Low Energy
- The communications chipset on the MKR WiFi 1010 can function as both a Bluetooth® Low Energy and Bluetooth® client or host device. This dual capability is rare in microcontroller platforms. The ArduinoBLE library provides examples to create either a Bluetooth® central or peripheral device with ease.
Battery Power
- The MKR WiFi 1010 can be powered via its USB port (5V) or through a Li-Po battery. It includes a Li-Po charging circuit that allows the board to run on battery power while simultaneously charging the battery from an external 5V source. The board automatically switches between power sources.
